Welding procedure qualification tests are carried out in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 15614 standards.

In Poland, the institutions authorised to approve welding procedures and issue certification to companies include, among others, the Office of Technical Inspection, the Welding Institute and TÜV. Due to our accredited certifications, the results of our tests are recognised by the most important certification bodies in Poland and worldwide.

Welding procedure qualification in Poland is conducted in compliance with the following standards:

  • PN-EN ISO 15614-1 – Welding of steels
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-2 – Welding of aluminium and aluminium alloys
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-3 – Welding of unalloyed and low-alloy cast irons
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-4 – Welding of aluminium castings
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-5 – Welding of titanium and titanium alloys; zirconium and zirconium alloys
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-6 – Welding of copper and copper alloys
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-7 – Surfacing
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-8 – Welding of tubes to tube-plate joints
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-11 – Laser welding
  • PN-EN ISO 15614-12, -13 – Resistance welding

Test welds for welding procedure qualification are subjected to both non-destructive and destructive testing in an extended scope in order to verify whether the selected welding parameters allow for the production of joints that meet the normative requirements.
