Testing of Welding, Brazing and Thermal Cutting Technologies
Prototype tests of thermal cutting technologies are carried out in accordance with Annex D of the PN-EN 1090-2 standard.
Test specimens for the qualification of thermal cutting technologies, prepared in a characteristic “P” shape, are evaluated in terms of measurement parameters such as surface roughness, perpendicularity tolerance and visual inspection, followed by destructive testing in the form of hardness measurements of the cut edge. The purpose of the tests is to verify whether the selected cutting parameters allow for compliance with the normative requirements.
